Many people ask “then what is the true church?” its not about a religion, its about a relationship with Jesus Christ. Knowing who he said he was and putting your faith in that. It is very simple. We read in Romans 10: 9-10 ”
Yes, its that simple. Confession that Jesus is Lord is the fact that he is God, confession and a heart for Jesus leads us unto righteousness, not be works but by the work that “JESUS DID” not what we can do. Jesus became righteousness for us.
In the Gospel of Luke in chapter 23 verses 32-43 we find that the thief being executed next to Jesus has a change of heart and simply puts his faith in Jesus and says “Jesus remember me when you come into your kingdom” (Luke 23:42). Jesus Reply’s ” “Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise.” By simply putting his trust in Jesus Christ and that he “Is the King” secured his salvation. Its not about works, its about faith. In Romans 4:3 we find “For what says the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.” Abraham simply believed God at his word, the promise that God had made to him, not just about children but also about the coming of a messiah.
Here is the sinners prayer of salvation:
I now believe that Jesus Christ is Your only begotten Son, that He came down to our earth in the flesh and died on the cross to take away all of my sins and the sins of this world. I believe that Jesus Christ then rose from the dead on the third day to give all of us eternal life.
I now confess to You all of the wrong and sinful things that I have ever done in my life. I ask that You please forgive me and wash away all of my sins by the blood that You have personally shed for me on the cross. I am now ready to accept You as my personal Lord and Savior. I now ask that You come into my life and live with me for all of eternity.
Father, Jesus – I now believe that I am truly saved and born again.
Thank You Father.
Thank You Jesus.
Now, start with reading the Bible, start in the book of John to see who Jesus Christ really is and start a relationship with the creator of all things.
Remember, we don’t do good things to get Gods favor, we do good things because we love God, with all our hearts.
